PUTIN’S SPEECH: LIKE A TRUTH IN MEDIA EDITORIAL

ST PETERSBURG, June 17 – Today’s Putin speech at an international business forum in St Petersburg, which brought together thousands of companies from Russia and from around the world, sounded like a plagiarism of Truth in Media editorials. Which, I supposed, should be a compliment?

Check out these excerpts:

Those who believe that things will go back to the way they were before the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine are wrong, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.

“It is a mistake to suggest that the times of turbulent changes can be waited out and that things will return to normal; that everything will be as it was. It won’t,” Putin insisted during his speech at the the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Friday.

The changes that the world is going through at the moment are fundamental, radical, and irreversible, he added.

However, the ruling elites of some Western countries refuse to notice this obvious shift and choose to “cling to the shadows of the past,” he added.

“For example, they believe that the dominance of the West in global politics and economy is a constant, eternal value,” Putin said. But “nothing is eternal,” he reminded everyone.

Since claiming victory in the Cold War in the early 1990s, the US has “declared itself the messenger of God on Earth, who has no obligations, but only interests, and those interests are pronounced to be sacred,” the president said.

However, the idea of a unipolar world is flawed at its core, according to the Russian leader, as the norms of international relations can’t always be interpreted in favor of a single nation, “even if it’s a strong one.”

It seems as if Washington refuses to see the new centers of power that have emerged in recent decades and which have every right to “protect their interests and ensure their national sovereignty,” he said.

Russian president predicts ‘change of elites’ in West

Economic mistakes are creating the conditions in the EU for deepening inequality, a surge of radicalism, and, eventually, a “change of elites,” Russian President Vladimir Putin warned on Friday.

Speaking at the plenary session of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), the Russian leader argued that all the current talk in the West about so-called ‘Putin’s inflation’ was designed “for those who cannot read and write.”

The term has been previously used by US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

“The European Union has completely lost its political sovereignty, and its bureaucratic elites are dancing to someone else’s tune, accepting whatever they are told from above, causing harm to their own population and their own economy,” Putin said.

In the Russian leader’s opinion, the policy of EU authorities will deepen the split in the West not only on economic matters but also on its values system.

“Such a detachment from reality, from the demands of society, will inevitably lead to a surge of populism and the growth of radical movements, to serious social and economic changes, to degradation, and in the near future, to a change of elites,” Putin said.

The term ‘Putin’s inflation’ describes inflation resulting from difficulties with energy supply, logistics, and exchange rates allegedly caused by the Russian military offensive in Ukraine and sanctions imposed on Moscow by Western countries.

The Russian president has previously accused EU leaders of committing economic “suicide” by attempting to give up Russian energy.

TiM EDITOR: Perhaps Putin is wanting to show us that he is no pussycat? But action speaks louder than words. And Russian military actions in Ukraine are still fairly timid after nearly four months of war.

BTW – China’s president, Xi Jinping, also spoke in a video address at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, where he said Chinese-Russian cooperation was showing good momentum across the board.

LAV-ROV (LION-ROAR) IS NO LION! AND NEITHER IS PUTIN

Putin and Lavrov (LionRoar) are fighting NATO and EU with words not deeds. They look like pussycats and their ‘roar’ sounds like a cat’s meow. Even Yeltsin had more “cojones” in 1999. Is this entire Ukrainian war an arranged affair between Washington, Brussels and Moscow?

CURRENT NEWS: Lavrov’s Visit to Serbia Canceled

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was due to visit Serbia on Monday and Tuesday (June 6-7). However, on Sunday, Serbian media outlet Vechernie Novosti (Evening News) reported that three countries surrounding Serbia – Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro – had closed their airspace to Lavrov’s flight, effectively blocking the diplomat’s visit to Belgrade.

This was done reportedly under the pressure from Washington and the EU. All three countries aspire to become EU members.

Commenting on his aborted trip to Serbia on Monday, Lavrov himself said the “unthinkable has happened,” with a sovereign state being effectively deprived “of the right to carry out its foreign policy.

The international activities of Serbia have been blocked, at least for now, in the Russian direction,” the foreign minister said.

We won’t mince our words here, it’s yet another vivid and didactic demonstration of how far NATO and the EU will go in employing the cheapest means to pressure those who aren’t guided by their national interest and aren’t ready to sacrifice their principles and dignity for the sake of the rules that the West is imposing as a substitute for international law,” Lavrov added.

US State Department spokesman Ned Price called this decision “Europe’s commitment to hold Russia accountable” for the military operation in Ukraine launched after the breakaway republics of Donetsk and Luhansk appealed for help in defending themselves against Ukrainian forces.

That’s the current news. And now, let’s turn to the news from my April 1999 visit to Belgrade during NATO’s bombing of Serbia.

OLD NEWS: NATO COWERS WHILE LUKASHENKO/YELTSIN SUKHOI ESCORTS REIGN

BELGRADE, Apr. 15, 1999 – When the Belorussian president, Aleksandar Lukashenko, announced that he was planning to visit Belgrade earlier this week, NATO said that it would not halt its operations nor guarantee his safety. To which the Russian president, Boris Yeltsin, replied that he would guarantee it. Which he evidently did, as Lukashenko’s visit came and went on Apr. 14 without an incident.

Lukashenko’s plane was escorted by four powerful Russian Sukhoi-27 fighter planes, according to eyewitness reports which TiM has received. Their deployment as Lukashenko’s “security guards” is yet another sign that Russia, Belorussia and Yugoslavia are reading from the same page in their opposition to NATO.

By the way, the Sukhoi fighters are described as superior to any equivalent U.S./NATO aircraft.

“The feared and deadly fourth-generation Sukhoi-27 fighters, which in our opinion easily out-perform, out-range, and out-maneuver their U.S. equivalents,” writes John Whitley, publisher of the Toronto-based New World Order Intelligence Update, are a part of the deadly arsenal at the disposal of the Russian Navy’s aircraft carriers.

Mr. Whitley adds:

“They have extremely powerful missiles and guns, superb radar and aiming equipment, and – for an aircraft weighing over twenty tons – an extraordinarily high acceleration capability and thrust-to-weight ratio. This writer was unexpectedly privileged and surprised some time ago to suddenly witness a Soviet SU-27 perform its unique and deadly “Cobra” maneuver under simulated air-combat conditions: the SU-27 pilot, immediately upon receiving warning of a missile “lock on” by an fighter behind him, pulled his aircraft vertical and slightly back beyond the centre line, well past its apparent stall point – and, in seeming defiance of all of the laws of aerodynamics, the huge fighter hung there for ten seconds or so, for all the world like a cobra reared to strike, suspended by the sheer thrust of its mighty jet engines. Then, as the pursuing warplane shot past below, the SU-27 tipped forward, dropped once again into level flight behind its adversary – and the hunter suddenly became the hunted!”

WHO IS NOW LOOKING LIKE A BIGGER COWARD – YELTSIN OR PUTIN?

Lav-rov (Lion’s Roar) Is a Cat’s Meow, And So Is Putin’s

Now let’s summarize. Over 23 years ago, NATO was a raining bombs on Serbia every day. The Russian president Boris Yeltsin was thought to be an American stooge. And he was. So Russia did nothing.

Well not quite nothing. Yeltsin eventually sent his ”backstabber-in-chief,” the VP P Viktor Chernomyrdin, Bill Clinton’s and Al Gore’s pal, to talk Serbia’s Milosevic into capitulation (see NOTE below). . As a result, Serbia lost Kosovo. Permanently, as it turns out. But that was two months later.

Back to Belgrade in April 1999, even that American stooge Boris Yeltsin showed more cojones back then than Putin did now. He gave Lukashenko the four SU-27s as escorts. I remember hearing their buzz in the sky as they circled Belgrade like an air shield while Lukashenko met with Milosevic while the mighty NATO mice held their fire and were nowhere to been seen that day.

That was a show of strength displayed even by a weak Russia and a drunkard president. And now that Russia has supposedly regained its former glory and military prowess, Putin and Lavrov (LionRoar) are fighting NATO and EU with words. They look like pussycats and their ‘roar’ sounds like a cat’s meow.

Words are cheap. Action speaks louder than words. And so does a lack of action.

Is this entire Ukrainian war an arranged affair between Washington, Brussels and Moscow? So that they can weaken the national governments everywhere in Europe? And cower the sheeple into obedience by economic impoverishment and autocratic rule – both in Russia and the EU countries? It looks like Hungary and Serbia are so far the only countries trying to resist that.

The preceding was a theory this writer has been contemplating since the beginning of this war. Because Russia has been pussyfooting around the Kiev thugs since the beginning. Now the theory seems more and more believable.

NOTE – May 1999:

Following his missions to Washington and Bonn, where Chernomyrdin earned the epithet of the Serb Backstabber-in-Chief (see Special TiM GW Bulletins S99-69. Day 45, Update 1, Item 1, May 7), this friend of Al Gore’s, and traitor of Russia’s own interests in Chechnya, was supposed to travel to Belgrade to try to sell the Yugoslav president, Slobodan Milosevic, on the bill of goods supposedly agreed to buy the Gee-Eight countries.

IS PUTIN NAIVE OR FALSE?

(An excerpt from a 2014 TiM editorial)

There is no greater enemy to the mob leaders than when one of them turns rogue.” (Truth in Media)

So Washington mobsters have ratcheted up the pressure on Russia by engineering a coup d’etat in Ukraine and the civil war that followed. Just as they did two decades ago with Slobodan Milosevic, another one of their “partners” who went rogue when he became president of Serbia. And to Saddam Hussein, another NWO “partner” from the Iran-Iraq war who took a Washington bait reached out for “a country too far” (Kuwait).

Another useful lesson history can offer is what happened in 1938 when the British Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain, thought he could negotiate a peace treaty with Hitler. His words “peace for our time” ended up in the laughing stock of history considering the world war II that followed.

That Putin is now badmouthing the club of which he used to be a member sounds more like sour grapes of a jolted lover than rebellious statesmanship.

It was a delusion from which Yeltsin also suffered that Russia was anything but an adversary in the eyes of the Washington would-be world masters. They dealt with her the same way Roman emperors dealt with conquests – using the “divide and conquer” tactics.

Since all this was obvious to this writer 20 years ago, one would think that the Russian president must have been aware of it, too. Yet Putin continued to cavort with the crocodile hoping for what? That it would eat him last, Churchill put it.

As this writer also said four years ago, Putin seems to be the “designated bogey” of the New World Order just like I said in the 1990s that Russia under Yeltsin was the same.

Foreword

How Milosevic Sold Out Kosovo” Moscow, Belgrade Links with Mysterious Swedish, Kosovo-Albanian Businessmen

PHOENIX, Sep 1, 1999 – In the good old days when gentlemen and gentle women ruled the world from dignified royal palaces or ornate parliaments, there was a saying that behind every powerful politician there was a powerful woman. While that adage still may apply today in some cases (e.g., Bill Clinton, Slobodan Milosevic), those are now largely exceptions which merely confirm a different rule.

What’s then the new rule about the men who rule the world in the New World Order? Behind every powerful politician there is a skillful money launderer. The latter are the modern day éminence grise (gray eminence), powerful advisors who pull the strings from backstage, and do the dirty work on behalf of their masters, sometimes getting things done through unsavory characters, variously known as the “Mob” or “Mafia.”

In short, such éminence grise are indispensable assets of a thoroughly corrupt NWO “high society” who help NWO political leaders try to project images of honesty and integrity while wallowing in dirt and crime. A key element to success of such deceptions is that the “eminences” must remain gray, meaning invisible to the public. The moment they become known, they also become dispensable. And expendable. Like the former Treasurer of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (Krushina), who in 1991 took a deadly dive from his Kremlin office window.

Russians and Serbs: A Story of Love and Betrayal

NEW YORK, May 10, 1999 -The western establishment media keep propagating stories about the alleged “traditional friendship” between the “fellow-Orthodox-Christian” countries – Russia and Serbia. Not only are such claims ludicrous in light of Boris Yeltsin’s betrayal of the Bosnian Serbs during that country’s civil war (see Special TiM GW Bulletin S99-69, Day 45, Update 1, Item 1, May 7). But they are even more preposterous when considered in a wider historical context.

Which is why TiM brings you an expert foreign policy paper on the Russo-Serbian relations during the last two centuries. Since the person who wrote this essay is an American working within the NWO establishment, she has opted to have it published under a pseudonym. Voila…

“NATO’s bombing of Yugoslavia has once again raised the complex question of Russia’s “loyalty” to the Serbs. Both nations share an Eastern Orthodox religion, similar Slavic languages, and cultural ties. However, relations between Russia and Serbia have historically been tested as Russia has struggled to balance its role as “great power” with that of protector of its small, Slavic neighbors.

Although the Russian PEOPLE have traditionally shown great support and empathy for the plight of the Serbs during times of war, the Russian GOVERNMENTS have consistently placed their own geopolitical interests over those of the small Balkan nation.

[…]

In 1878, the European powers gathered in Berlin to decide the fate of the Balkans, noticeably without representation from any of the small Balkan nations whose futures were to be determined.

At the Congress, Austria was granted the right to occupy Bosnia and Hercegovina. The Serbs felt deeply betrayed by Russia, feeling that Russia had placed its own interests in securing an independent Bulgaria ahead of any notions of unity with the Serbia and concern for the plight of Bosnia and Hercegovina. The Serbs learned quickly that the agreement concluded in Berlin was designed to serve the interests of the great powers, including Russia, rather than those of the insurgents and small Slavic states.

During the Eastern Crisis, the Russian people were very sympathetic to the plight of the insurgents. Slavic Benevolent Committees raised donations and gathered arms and munitions to supply the Serbian army. Many Russians volunteered to fight with the Serbs, out of genuine feelings of solidarity. Yet as during the Fist Serbian Insurrection, Russia put its own geopolitical interests ahead of any notions of Panslavic unity.

In summary, it is undeniable that the Russian public sympathized with and went to great lengths to support the Serbs, for unselfish reasons. But, the Russian government betrayed this cause. Following the war, one Serbian poet, Jovan Jovanovic-Zmaj, reflected on Serbia’s disappointment in the policies of the Russian government:

And it was finished in an unjust manner

And signed with a golden feather

And celebrated with a lordly feast

And the Serbian disaster was proclaimed as peace…

And he who was close to you

Shouts now since he predicted

That you do not care for the brother or sun

That you will not bring salvation…
