NATO’S “DRANG NACH OSTEN” REVISITED

In April 1995, over 28 years ago, I penned the article Taming the “Russian Bear”. I said that the “Partnership for Peace” (was) a Modern-day Version of “Drang Nach Osten” Strategy. Back then, it was Bill Clinton who was trying to pull the wool over Boris Yeltsin’s eyes with this “partnership for peace” con.

The peace farce continued in the 21st century with Vladimir Putin also being duped like his predecessor. Until the “Maidan” coup d’etat in February 2014. After that, even the dufuses (or traitors) like Yeltsin and Putin could see that they were being duped by the US and NATO. Yet Putin still kept talking about the “international law” and order as if that would deter the US and NATO thugs.

Shades of Milosevic, Karadzic, Mladic… They also though they could negotiate with alligators. We all know where and how they ended up.

DRANG NACH OSTEN II

So on Feb 28, 2014, over 9 years ago, I penned an update to that Drang article: UKRAINE: NATO’S LATEST “DRANG NACH OSTEN” TARGET. And a follow-up article 10 days later –

This was the caveat – a lesson from history of Yugoslavia:

Which is why it is imperative for the PEOPLE of Ukraine not to fall into the same NWO trap as the PEOPLE of former Yugoslavia did 22 years ago. Various Yugoslav ethnic and religious factions started shooting at each other after the US scuttled the Lisbon peace agreement. Just as they killed the Kiev truce last month.  In the end, all Yugoslavs were LOSERS. There was only one winner – the globalist NWO mob. The Wall Street neo-colonials and their war machine – NATO – are now occupying and controlling nearly all of the Balkans (see our 1995 map). The NATO Iron Curtain has moved farther east. And now, they are trying the same in Ukraine.

Alas, nobody listened to these warnings. And now we have a full-fledged war in Ukraine. And God only knows also where next.

NATO TO BOOST ITS MILITARY PRESENCE AROUND RUSSIA MORE THAN SEVEN-FOLD

At the NATO Vilnius summit on July 13, the US-led military bloc’s new posture is planning a massive increase in rapid reaction forces and more heavy weapon procurement.The whopping 4,400-page document details the defense of critical locations in case of “an emergency” and lists a potential attack by Russia as one of the biggest threats, according to German media. 

To counter the supposed ‘Russian threat,’ the bloc plans to massively increase its Response Force (NRF) from the current 40,000 troops to over 300,000, comprising land, sea and air units, as well as rapidly deployed Special Forces. 

The bloc also plans to significantly increase weapons production and stockpiling. The new strategy includes a “new Defense Production Action Plan to accelerate joint procurement, boost production capacity, and enhance Allies’ interoperability,” the NATO statement said. 

According to Bild, the bloc would seek to build up armored “heavy forces,” and deploy more long-range artillery systems and missiles, as well as air defense systems (for more, see… NATO adopts new anti-Russia defense plan).

For example, NATO plans to quadruple its presence in Bulgaria. Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov reportedly announced on Tuesday. The move would expand the battalion-size task force currently stationed in the Balkans country to a reinforced brigade.

The plan is for the multinational battle group on our territory to be reinforced up to brigade level,” said Defense Minister Todor Tagarev. He added that Bulgaria will endeavor to have the brigade at full strength, meaning at around 5,000 troops, and that the government in Sofia needs to build the logistics and infrastructure to make that possible.

LOADED FOR BEAR, THE “RUSSIAN BEAR”

In short, NATO is getting loaded for bear – the Russian Bear. Will that lead to a nuclear confrontation? Only God knows the answer to that. One thing is for sure. we have never been closer to World War III since the end of the last world war. The saber-rattling between NATO and Russia in Europe is reaching a high pitch. Both Washington and Moscow are playing a “Russian roulette” with the fate of the world.

HAUGHTY POLES

Here’s a history question for you?

Q: What did (the map of) Poland look like in 1914, prior to World War I.

A: It didn’t. It didn’t look like anything at all. Poland did not exist as an independent country (see the map).

And neither did the so-called “Baltic states” – Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia – all now proud NATO members. Nor did Finland. Finland was an autonomous part of the Russian Empire known as a Grand Duchy of Finland. Thus you don’t see that proud newly-minted member of NATO on the map of Europe in 1914.

Now let’s fast-forward to yesterday, Friday, July 21, 2023.

Speaking at a meeting of Russia’s Security Council on Friday, Putin recalled that the Soviet Union liberated Poland from the Nazi occupation during WWII, and said it was thanks to Stalin that Warsaw “acquired substantial territory in the West” after Germany’s defeat.

“It is a fact that Poland’s Western lands are a gift from Stalin,” the Russian leader stressed.

This statement of historical fact sent the Polish government into apoplexy. The Polish prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki said he was summoning the Russian ambassador.

For what? To show him the map of Europe interwar, with the yellow lands being the parts of Germany Stalin had gifted the Poles (with presence and approval of his western allies – Churchill and Roosevelt):

Or even better, to show the Polish prime minister this map of Europe in 1914 on which his country did not exist at all:

Maybe it would be best for the haughty Poles to keep their heads a little lower lest their statehood gets beheaded again as had happened before in their 1000-year history.
