TRUMP STIRS NATO POT AGAIN

TELLS SOUTH CAROLINA AUDIENCE HE WOULD NOT PROTECT EUROPE IF THEY DON’T PAY (FOR NATO)

HOW U.S. “DEEP STATE” FORGED NEW ENEMY FOR NATO

– Donald Trump had managed to stir the NATO pot again. 

Trump’s campaign trail claim that he would encourage Russia to attack U.S. allies in Europe if they failed to spend enough on their defense pact set off fresh tremors in Washington and Europe.

European politicians were already worried about America’s reliability as an ally in a potential second Trump administration.

“One of the presidents of a big country stood up and said, ‘Well, sir, if we don’t pay and we’re attacked by Russia, will you protect us?’” Trump told an audience at a campaign rally in South Carolina.

“I said, ‘You didn’t pay. You’re delinquent.’ He said, ‘Yes, let’s say that happened.’ No, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want.” 

The anecdote sparked cheers and applause from the attendees. It also sparked new screams in horror from the Biden White House and the “deep state” elite. Once again, Trump has undressed them in public.

Undeterred by criticism of his latest comment, Trump doubled down on Sunday.

“No money in the form of foreign aid should be given to any country unless it is done as a loan, not just a giveaway,” he wrote on social media in all capital letters. “We should never give money anymore,” he added, “without the hope of a payback, or without ‘strings’ attached.”

And here’s the kicker. And the reason panic is spreading among the until self-appointed “rulers of the world.”

This time around, Trump would no longer be surrounded by the kind of advisers who stopped him from doing so last time – guardians of the “deep state,” of course.

BTW – did you know that Trump tried to pull American troops out of Germany at the end of his presidency in anger at Angela Merkel, then the chancellor?

This withdrawal was prevented only because Biden came to office in time to rescind the decision. And he did it in the first two weeks of his presidency – that’s how worried the “deep state” were about dismantling of one of their favorite cash cows (see Biden Freezes Trump’s Withdrawal of 12,000 Troops From Germany, NYT, Deb 1, 2020).
