“Plutocracy is alive and well in America,” (Truth in Media, Nov 1993)
AND IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE IF WE DO NOTHING
Nearly a quarter century ago, I used for the first time the term “plutocracy” to describe the system we have here in America.
What is plutocracy?
The rule of a few over the many. Or as Wikipedia puts it, “it is a form of oligarchy and defines a society ruled or controlled by the small minority of the wealthiest citizens.”
Four years later, I repeated the warning that the oligarchs are destroying the middle class and creating a new social order consisting only of have’s and have not’s:
“Nowhere is this (class difference) more pronounced than in the U.S. This is where the rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and the Great American Divide between the relative ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’ has been growing wider and deeper in the last 30 years.”

So what have we done about it since these warnings were published.
In a word – NOTHING. Apathy and indifference – have been trademark of American voters and citizens.

DJURDJEVIC : As you read this Guardian article, it is important to be reminded that it is a left-wing “liberal” newspaper which had steadfastly supported Hillary Clinton in 2016.
It is also important to be reminded that Bernie Sanders, who is now casting stones at the Republicans, seems to have forgotten that he also ended up supporting last year that Queen of Greed – Hillary Clinton – who had raised records amount of money from the Wall Street and other international billionaires. As had her predecessor – Obama.
So as this writer has been saying for decades, both Democrats and the Republicans are working for the same rich oligarchs and AGAINST the interests of the American people.
Back to the definition of PLUTOCRACY.
But since we, the American people, keep voting our slave masters in election-after-election, all these warnings notwithstanding, we can only blame ourselves for the consequences.

HOW INDEPENDENT IS TRUMP REALLY?
Which brings us back the full circle. Not only is Trump not an independent candidate. He has publicly declared that he would not run as an independent. Trump signed a loyalty oath to the Republican Party back in September, pledging to support the eventual GOP standard-bearer.
And then in October of last year, Trump said…
This could be the greatest Trojan horse. This (Syrian migration into Europe) could make the (original) Trojan horse look like peanuts if these people turned out to be a lot of ISIS. (Trump on “Face the Nation,” Oct 11, 2015 -http://nyp.st/1Qj0lGF )
But could Trump himself actually be a ‘Trojan Horse’ of New World Order plutocrats?
For, if he were really a reformist American so badly needs, why would he be trying so hard to prove that he is a part of the establishment?
WHAT’S TO BE DONE?
Let me net it out the way I see it…
I have been saying for the last quarter “anybody but a Democrat or a Republican.” That truism also holds for election 2016. Which means neither Sanders to Trump – the two frontrunners are the moment.
As can be seen from this chart, both started more or less from the center of the American political spectrum some 15 years ago, and then drifted far to the left (Sanders) and far to the right (Trump).
More importantly, all candidates will say whatever it takes to get themselves elected. But once in office, how much can they be trusted to keep their promises?
All of those who voted Obama now know the pain of disappointment over broken promises. As do those who voted for the two Bush’s and Clinton before them. I have voted for none of them. So my conscience is clear.
Sanders, like the Clintons, is a party loyalist trying to look like an outsider to distinguish himself from Hillary. Trump is a card-carrying member of the billionaires club – the 563 plutocrats, out of 319 million of us, who have been getting richer while most of the American people are getting poorer.
“Those who deformed us cannot reform us,” read a crude white painted slogan on a Prague wall during the 1989 Velvet Revolution.
So the only person who can truly change the corrupt political system in America is an outsider, neither a Democrat or a Republican.

WHAT TO DO ON NOV 8?
Bottom line? Vote for any third party candidate who emerges between now and November.
Or don’t vote at all. Which is what the majority of Americans has already done.
Over 63% of us boycotted the 2014 midterm elections, the lowest turnout since 1824 (see DISGUST & APATHY: BIG WINNERS IN 2014 ELECTIONS).
That’s because voting for either a Democrat or a Republican will only serve to legitimize the New World Order’s electoral farce and tighten the plutocrats’ noose around our collective necks. A silent protest is better than a vote for an oppressor.
What do I think would actually happen?

I voted for Trump. Shame on me! I did not heed my own advice. And for the first time ever, I voted for an establishment party candidate whom I called a Trojan horse only 8 months before. 😦

THE AMERICAN DEMO FARCE IS GETTING WORSE
85% of Americans think Congress serves lobbyists, not the people
Well, for the Truth in Media readers and followers of several decades, this is nothing new. But it is the new news base don the latest Associated Press poll.
The overwhelming majority of Americans, irrespective of party allegiance, holds a dismal opinion of Congress, a fresh poll shows. It found 89 percent of Democrats and 82 percent of Republicans disapprove of the legislature’s work.
The attitude to the Republican-controlled legislature does not change much across party lines. The number of Democrats that held an unfavorable view of Congress, 89 percent, is only seven percentage points higher than that of Republicans, at 82 percent.
In November 1996, I penned a column which the WASHINGTON TIMES titled “Demo Farce and the American Century.” In it, I wrote:
“Election ’96 was a ‘demo farce!’ The U.S. democracy is turning into a New World Order plutocracy.”
“David Rockefeller, the ‘Sir’ in the Milosevic-Eagleburger conversation (see below), is sort of 
the ‘Big Cheese,’ the grand patriarch of the American foreign policy, who ‘owns’ people around him. Using the CFR and the TLC as instruments of power, Rockefeller and his associates have nearly all the political and media bases covered. In the end, it does not matter whether Republicans or the Democrats win. Either way, it will be the (Rockefeller) ‘insiders’ who will run the show in Washington. Four years later, I issued this warning about the oligarchs like Rockefeller, Soros and others destroying the middle class and creating a new social order consisting only of have’s and have not’s:
