TRUTH TRUMPS POWER EVERY TIME

“BIG BROTHER” IS WATCHING YOU –

But What Nobody Told You Is That He Is Blind and Stupid

George Orwell warned us about Big Brother.
He just forgot to mention one thing:

The guy is an idiot.

I discovered this the hard way last night while trying to perform a task so simple even a chimp could manage it:

Renewing a car registration.

Last year, I logged in with an email and password — you know, the same credentials we’ve all used since the dawn of the Internet. Two minutes, done.

Not anymore.

In the brave new digital gulag of 2025, the Arizona MVD demanded something else:

“Take a picture of yourself so we can verify your identity.”

Excuse me?
To renew a license plate?
Have I suddenly become an undocumented alien fleeing across the desert?
Did someone at the DMV read too many dystopian novels?

No.

This is simply what happens when bureaucrats discover new technology.
They don’t use it to make life easier.
They use it to turn citizens into supplicants bowing before malfunctioning software.

And to create new jobs for themselves. To manually fix the software which doesn’t work.

So I played along.

I pointed the camera at me (my wife watching the whole charade in bewilderment).
Stared at the dot.
Waited for the magic.

And naturally…

The system failed.

Not once.
Not twice.
Repeatedly.

The machine, in all its AI-infused “glory,” could not recognize my face — the same face attached to my driver’s license for decades.

Which raises a question:

**How can Big Brother be watching me if Big Brother can’t even see me?**

But here comes the punchline.

After multiple failed attempts, the system simply dismissed me like a bouncer at a nightclub:

“We cannot verify your identity at this time.”

Translation:
“Get lost, citizen. You’re so ugly even the machine could not stand it.”

No override.
No alternative login.
No human assistance.
Just facial-recognition roulette — and I lost.

This is not security.
This is not efficiency.
This is not modernization.

This is technocratic illiteracy dressed up as progress.

The government has replaced competent clerks with incompetent algorithms and expects us to cheer.

And here is the real irony:

**Criminals who steal vehicles can bypass the system. Law-abiding citizens get blocked by it.**

Same as with gun control. Only criminals get to have them.

Only a mindless bureaucracy could design something this backward.

Meanwhile, the American sheeple stand obediently in line, phones or iPads raised, waiting to be scanned like chicken wings at Safeway — never questioning why a free citizen must submit a selfie to a poorly coded government app to prove he exists.

So tomorrow I will do what millions of others are now forced to do:

Go in person to the DMV to complete a task that was easier before technology “improved” it.

Welcome to 2025: Government introduces new technology to increase efficiency (Elon Musk where are you and your DOGE). Only to create more menial jobs to fix the problems technology created.

So Big Brother is everywhere —
surrounding you, scanning you, tracking you — cameras everywhere —

…but it’s still too stupid to recognize your face.

O tempora, o mores.
